Packaging eBooks and Online Courses: The Power of Box Shots

In marketing, packaging is one of the components that make up your Product. A good packaging can make a good impression.
Similarly, products online can have packaging too… virtual packaging that is. Called box shots, these are ways to virtually package products, leaving an impression which is similar (or even more impressive) to the effects of real life product packaging. Box shots can come in the form of books, software boxes, cd and dvd covers and even spiral books. They can be created via photo software such as Adobe Photoshop or by 3rd party softwares.
Here are examples of my own boxshots. Notice the impact these leave as you look at them, even though in principle, they are just graphics designed and rendered to simulate something which is not there. Another example of replicating the “high”… :
